ABOUT AFAINT

ART in its various forms, is the best way to educate, inspire, and create awareness for world dilemmas such as hunger, thirst, malaria, and AIDS. AFAINT provides this light to the world by creating art that will inspire the public to be aware and get involved. We are a coalition of artists, art professionals, educators, and facilitators united as creative advocates combining our talents to create awareness and most importantly, implement solutions to alleviate the distress of the poor and sick.
The definition of advocacy is exemplified in the idea of "active support" . Arts definition is simply the product of human creativity. When you combine these elements what you get is the perfect combination to enlighten, educate, and encourage the public to respond to issues that need attention. Thus you have before you, Artists For Advocacy International. AFAINT came to be because it is evident that art in its many forms has been used to inspire the public at large. Whether it's through music, painting, poetry, or dance, human beings have been drawn to art and injustice, and the marriage between the two have made men and women such as Pablo Neruda, Bob Marley, James Baldwin and Maya Angelou household names of advocacy and art. Here we intend to follow in their footsteps. To take the dilemmas in which our beloved earth faces, such as malaria and HIV/AIDS, and shine a light to eradicate them! It is this fervent desire, this intrinsic burning inside all of our artists that compel us to display our talents in such a way that paint becomes bread, music becomes water, and poems become medicine.
To the left you will see a list of our artists who have dedicated their lives to fighting the good fight through art! If you are an artists would like to join AFAINT please follow this link and sign up! The world honestly needs your talents to care...
Advocacy through artistic zeal is the light needed to eradicate the apathetic darkness that hovers over our planet.
